Sexual disorders are common in patients with neurologic disorders and need to be addressed because they may be relevant for diagnosis, affect the quality of life, and respond to treatment. Symptoms include lack of sexual desire, erectile dysfunction and disturbances of ejaculation and orgasm.
Neurological conditions like epilepsy, spina bifida, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's, are some of the neurological disorders that can cause erectile dysfunction. Damage as result of a stroke can also cause ED.
